Rest assured that I have no interest in collecting people’s data nor do I use analytical software on this website.

Privacy Policy
Website: nath.media
Effective date: 26 October 2026
1. Introduction
Nath (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website nath.media. We take your privacy seriously and process as little personal data as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, how we use it, and which rights you have.
This policy is written to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / revDSG) and is aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) so that visitors from the European Union are also protected.

3. Data We Collect
3.1 Server Log Files
When you visit nath.media, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores technical information in server log files. This is standard practice necessary to deliver the website and ensure security. Log data may include:
-
IP address (partially or fully anonymized where technically possible)
-
Date and time of the request
-
Requested page / URL
-
Referrer URL (previously visited page)
-
Browser type, version, and operating system
-
Status code and amount of data transferred
Purpose: Website delivery, IT security, and abuse prevention.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 31 FADP for necessary processing).
Retention: Log files are stored for a maximum of 14 days and then deleted. Short-term storage is necessary for security and troubleshooting (e.g., defending against attacks).
3.2 Data You Provide
nath.media currently offers a newsletter subscription (see Section 3.4) and an online store powered by WooCommerce (see Section 3.6). It does not offer contact forms or account registration. If you contact us by email, we process your message and email address solely to respond to your inquiry.
3.3 What We Do NOT Do
We do not use:
-
Analytics or tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
-
Advertising or marketing cookies
-
Profiling or automated decision-making
-
Third-party services that track you across websites
3.4 Newsletter Subscription
nath.media offers a newsletter subscription form. The form does not track you: we do not record how you found the form, how long you stayed, or any behavioral data. The only data submitted is what you enter yourself — your email address.
Purpose: Sending the newsletter you subscribed to.
Legal basis: Your consent (double opt-in; Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 6 FADP).
Tracking: None. We do not use tracking pixels, read receipts, or click tracking in our emails.
Unsubscribe: Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing mail@nath.media. After unsubscribing, your email address is deleted immediately, unless we must retain it briefly to process your request.
3.5 YouTube Video Embeds
Some pages on nath.media embed YouTube videos. We use the privacy-friendly click-to-load method: no YouTube content, scripts, or cookies load until you actively click the video thumbnail. Before you click, the only element loaded is the static preview image of the video.
When you click the thumbnail, content is loaded from Google’s servers (YouTube), and Google may set cookies and process data (including your IP address) under its own privacy policy. This happens only after your explicit click, which we treat as your consent. You can find Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you do not click, no connection to YouTube or Google is established and no data is shared with them.
3.6 Online Store (WooCommerce)
nath.media operates an online store powered by WooCommerce. When you place an order, we process the data necessary to fulfil it:
-
Name and billing/shipping address
-
Email address
-
Order details (products, quantities, prices)
-
Invoice and payment status
Purpose: Processing your order, delivery, customer service, and accounting.
Legal basis: Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; Art. 31 FADP) and legal obligations such as tax and commercial record-keeping requirements.
Payments: Payments are processed by our payment service provider. We never see or store your full card details. The provider processes your payment data under its own privacy policy and applicable law (e.g., the Swiss Banking Act / PSI-DSS).
Retention: Order data is retained for as long as required by commercial and tax law (typically 10 years in Switzerland).
Store cookies: The store sets only strictly necessary cookies (see Section 4). We do not use any analytics or marketing cookies, and no consent banner is therefore required.
4. Cookies
4.1 Website
The website itself does not set any cookies, and therefore no cookie banner is required for browsing nath.media. Only when you actively click an embedded YouTube video (see Section 3.5) does Google set cookies, under its own privacy policy.
4.2 Online Store (WooCommerce)
Our WooCommerce store sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the shop to function:
-
Session cookies – keep you logged in during your visit (WordPress/WooCommerce login)
-
Cart cookie – remembers the items in your shopping cart
-
Checkout cookies – necessary for processing your order securely
These cookies are exempt from consent requirements under the GDPR/ePrivacy rules (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive) and the Swiss FADP because the shop cannot function without them. No consent banner is therefore required.
We do not use analytics or marketing cookies in the store. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before any non-essential cookie is set.
5. Hosting and Data Location
This website is hosted on servers located in Switzerland. No personal data is transferred outside Switzerland by the website itself. If data were ever transferred abroad, we would ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions or contractual clauses under Art. 16 ff. FADP and Chapter V GDPR).
6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, the Swiss FADP, and similar laws in other jurisdictions, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access – confirmation of whether we process data about you and what data
